In a world that glorifies hustle, stillness is an act of rebellion. It’s a gentle but firm reminder to your mind, body, and spirit that you don’t have to earn your rest. You don’t have to prove your worth through burnout. You are allowed to pause—without guilt, without explanation.
This morning, I started the day with five intentional breaths before I even reached for my phone. It wasn’t fancy or profound. But in that small pause, something shifted. My shoulders relaxed. My thoughts slowed. I remembered: I am not a machine. I’m a human being who needs space to just be.
Maybe for you, stillness looks like a slow walk with no destination.
Maybe it’s a hot shower with no mental to-do list.
Maybe it’s laying on the floor with your eyes closed for 60 seconds.
The point is: you get to define your pause.
