We made it, friends. Day 30 of the April Challenge.
And this one is especially close to my heart.
This month was all about being unapologetically me — and not just in the bold, big moments, but in the small, soul-nourishing ones too. From releasing old beliefs to savoring slow mornings, this challenge wasn’t about changing who I am… it was about honoring her.
April brought some big moments for me personally — like surgery, which I walked into with stronger hemoglobin levels than I’ve had in over 10 years. That alone felt like a full-circle moment. My biopsies came back cancer-free. 🙌🏻 A miracle wrapped in a deep exhale.
I also got time with my family during spring break. We took a trip to the coast and traded chaos for card games and coloring in the camper while the rain tapped gently on the roof. We walked on the beach. We breathed. We slowed down.
And then, I turned 42. 🎉
It’s strange and beautiful how each year feels like peeling back another layer of who I thought I had to be — and returning to who I truly am.
We also welcomed two new babies into our extended family. New life. New beginnings. A reminder that joy multiplies when we let it in.
So today’s prompt is this:
How do you feel now that you’ve spent 30 days being unapologetically you?
What simple joys made the biggest impact?
Because I’ll tell you right now:
It wasn’t the grand gestures that changed me — it was the little ones.
The choice to rest instead of hustle.
The courage to say what I really meant.
The permission to be soft, strong, and true to myself.
If you joined me for this challenge — I’m so proud of you.
If you’re catching up or just finding this space now — welcome. This community is here for you, one joyful step at a time.
Today’s Affirmation:
🌼 “I honor the journey I’ve taken. I welcome who I am becoming. I am proud of the way I chose joy, honesty, and myself.”
Journal Prompt:
📝 What moments from this month made you feel most like yourself? What will you carry forward into the months ahead?
Reflection:
Growth doesn’t always look like hustle. Sometimes it looks like presence. Like joy. Like whispering “thank you” to the woman you see in the mirror. This month reminded me that I don’t need to apologize for who I am. I just need to show up — fully, gently, boldly.
