Clear One Small Area, Create Space to Thrive

Today’s Prompt: Clean or declutter one small area.

We’re officially halfway through the May You Thrive Challenge—and today is all about creating a little breathing room.

Let me take you back to a drawer I had been ignoring. The bottom drawer in our office desk had become a “shove zone” full of things I didn’t know what to do with. For months, I avoided it, convincing myself it wasn’t a big deal.

But one day, in a quiet moment, I opened it—and started clearing it out.

Tucked in between random receipts and tangled cords, I found something unexpected: a sticky note I had written to myself a while ago. It said, “You’ve done hard things before. You’ll do them again. Keep going.”

I had completely forgotten about it. But the timing of finding it? Perfect.

Clearing physical clutter can do that—it opens space for emotional clarity, for memories, for growth. Today, I encourage you to pick just one small space and give it your attention.

It doesn’t have to be perfect. Just intentional.

Affirmation of the Day:
“I create space for peace, clarity, and joy.”

Journal Prompt:
How did it feel to clear that space? What did you learn about yourself in the process?

Whether you uncovered a lost treasure or simply made peace with letting go of stuff you no longer need, today is a win.

Celebrate the space you’ve made—for clarity, for calm, and for yourself.
