List 5 Things That Feel Like ‘Home’ To You

What does “home” feel like to you?

Not the address. Not the physical space.
I mean the feeling. The comfort. The grounding. The you can exhale now kind of feeling.

Today’s May You Thrive challenge is an invitation to reconnect with what home means on a soul level. It’s not always a place—it’s often a sensation, a scent, a sound, or a moment that makes your shoulders relax and your heart rate slow.

For me, “home” is:

  • The smell of my favorite candle after dinner
  • The feel of a soft, lived-in hoodie
  • The sound of Matthew laughing from the other room
  • My chickens clucking loudly in the yard
  • A fresh cup of Chai tea steeping on the stove

Each of those things brings me back to myself. They don’t cost much. They aren’t dramatic. But they make me feel grounded, safe, and fully present.

Today’s prompt:
🌿 List 5 things that feel like “home” to you.

Think about:

  • A scent that soothes you
  • A food that instantly comforts
  • A voice or laugh that makes you smile
  • A song that tugs at your heart in the best way
  • A routine that makes you feel held

You might find that your list says more about what you need than what you thought you wanted. That’s the beauty of self-discovery.
