Affirmation: I am resilient and resourceful
Journal Prompt: What did that experience teach me about myself?
We all have those chapters we rarely speak about—moments when we felt like everything was falling apart, when we weren’t sure how we’d ever move forward. And yet… we did.
Today’s May You Thrive prompt invites you to pause and reflect on a challenge you’ve overcome. Whether it was something small that left a mark or a massive life shake-up, the question is the same:
What did that experience teach you about yourself?
For me, it was a time in my life when I was running on empty but still trying to hold everything together for everyone else. Eventually, it caught up with me—and I found myself on the floor or my closet wondering if I was broken.
But that low moment taught me something I carry with me every day: resilience doesn’t always look like powering through. Sometimes it looks like slowing down, asking for help, or simply saying “not today.” It’s in the rebuilding, not the performing.
Take time today to journal about a moment you made it through—something that could’ve broken you but instead built something stronger in you. And if you’re feeling brave, share it with someone you trust. You might be surprised how healing it feels to say, “I went through that—and I’m still here.”
💬 Leave a comment and let me know what your reflection brought up. Or just say “I’m still here.” That alone is worth honoring.
