☕ Today’s Affirmation:

“I will not worry about things I cannot control.”

☕ Tea Pairing:

For our journey into peace today, I suggest a soothing lemon balm or a gentle peppermint tea. These wonderful herbs are cherished for their natural ability to calm the nervous system, offering a sense of tranquility and ease. As you hold your warm cup and take a mindful sip, let these gentle flavors help you release tension and guide your focus back to the things you can control, those areas where your energy truly makes a difference.

💬 A Little Thought from Me:

Worrying about things we simply cannot control is much like trying to carry a heavy, unyielding boulder up a hill. It doesn’t change the boulder’s weight or its position; it only drains our precious energy, exhausts our spirit, and keeps us feeling stuck, unable to move forward with clarity and purpose. The liberating truth, my friend, is that some things are genuinely beyond our influence, beyond our reach, and that is not only okay, but it’s also an essential part of accepting life’s flow.

This doesn’t mean we don’t care, or that we become passive observers. On the contrary, by acknowledging what’s out of our hands, we free up immense mental and emotional bandwidth to take meaningful action on the things we can control. We can still engage, prepare, and respond thoughtfully. By consciously choosing not to endlessly worry about what’s out of our hands, we create vital space within ourselves for peace to bloom, for clarity to emerge, and for our focus to land squarely on what truly matters and where our energy can be most effective. Today, remind yourself: you have the innate power to let go of unnecessary worry, to set down that heavy burden.

🖋️Journal Prompt:

For today’s journal prompt, I invite you to bring to mind a specific situation in your life that you’ve been dwelling on, perhaps one that has been a significant source of worry. It could be big, or it could be a daily concern.

“Can you honestly identify what aspects of this situation are truly within your control, and what aspects are simply beyond your influence? Write about how you can consciously let go of the things outside your control and redirect your valuable energy towards what you can influence.”

As you write, be compassionate with yourself. It takes practice to discern what’s yours to manage and what’s not. Perhaps you can control your preparation, your attitude, your response, or your effort, but not the outcome, or someone else’s reaction. By clearly separating these, you are empowering yourself to release the grip of futile worry. This reflection isn’t about ignoring problems, but about approaching them with wisdom and intentionality. It’s about channeling your powerful energy effectively, moving from a state of passive anxiety to one of active peace and purpose.

Try this today:
Say the affirmation while sipping your morning tea or coffee
Set a timer for 5-10 minutes and write your response to the journal prompt
If you’re feeling brave, share your response in the comments or DM me – I’d love to hear what came up for you.
